6th September 2013: Consultation - review of the exceptions to regulations regarding the maximum length of fishing boats in the 0-6 nautical mile zone


Following the public consultation in November 2011 and February 2012 on proposals to remove the current exceptions to the prohibitions on fishing in certain areas of the 0-6nm zone using vessels larger than a certain size, some concerns were raised and as a result of the responses received a further period of consultation is being undertaken.

UPDATE - WFSA response to the above consultation - 'Further review of the exceptions to regulations regarding the maximum length of fishing boats in the 0-6 nautical mile zone'. The response was submitted on 2nd December 2013 and can be downloaded here.
