Angling Cymru offers heartfelt thanks to George Smith after junior shore team receives huge £2,500 boost

Angling Cymru was this week delighted to receive a cheque for £2,500 on behalf of our Under 16 junior shore team.

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to renowned England international shore angler George Smith, who has helped raise an incredible £10,000 – split equally between the junior shore teams in each of the four Home Nations.

“On behalf of the Welsh junior shore team, I would like to thank George Smith and all the people who helped him raise the amazing total sum of £10,000,” said team manager Clive Pearce.

Clive continued: “From tying rigs to be sold, raising money from raffles after matches and donations from open match competitors, each junior shore team in the Home Nations has received £2,500.

“These funds are a massive help towards covering the cost of the juniors participating in the SALC Home Internationals in Ireland this year.”
